The Construction Startup Competition (CSC), now in its 9th edition, is a globally recognized initiative co-hosted by CEMEX Ventures alongside major industry leaders. Since its launch in 2017, CSC has become the flagship platform for identifying and accelerating disruptive startups in the construction and built environment sectors. It has drawn more than 3,000 applications from over 80 countries, with winners gaining access to funding opportunities, pilot projects, and a vast network of industry experts and investors. The competition targets startups addressing pressing, key construction industry challenges such as sustainability, efficiency, and digitalization.
Bringing the Construction Startup Competition to Recotech 2025 marks a big milestone in expanding the competition’s influence into the Nordics. The inclusion of CSC into RECOTECH 2025 creates new opportunities for Nordic startups to participate in a global innovation ecosystem. This crossover enables greater visibility for regional innovators, helping them access international capital, partners, and pilots. It also amplifies Recotech’s role as a European hub for the future of the built environment, showcasing how Nordic innovation can shape global industry transformation. The move diversifies the geographic footprint of CSC and strengthens the global exchange of ideas and solutions in the construction tech landscape.
