Mathias used to be a Member of Parliament in Sweden, but decided not to run for reelection in 2018, because he got so angry – and so optimistic. Using his optimism he envisioned a different future. A world where optimists are seen as rational and pessimists as naive. With balanced news media, showing a fact-based view of the world. And people thinking first of possibilities before diving into the problems. He didn’t want to wait decades for all the positive developments in the world and he wanted them to happen as soon as possible. Therefore he founded the non-profit Warp Institute Foundation with the mission to make the future come sooner.
The idea behind the foundation was to gather optimistic, forward-looking people from around the world in a community. These ideas will be born and some of those ideas Warp Institute could facilitate. One such ideas is Project Energy Society. Where energy is superabundant, super cheap – and super clean. This is done in collaboration with Jonas Birgersson. One of the people who has joined the Warp community, shared his ideas and now they are pursuing it together.
